The Door Is Closing
- Part III
For I would not,
brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye
should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is
happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come
in.
Romans 11:25
In this issue of The
Prophetic Messenger we will continue a message about
the door closing to the Gentiles which means that the time will
come when no more Gentiles can be saved.
1. The Gospel Of Jesus Christ To Be Preached To The Gentiles
About 2000 Years
In the gospel of John chapter 4, Jesus spoke to a woman of Samaria.
Later in this chapter He visited the Samaritans for two days
preaching the kingdom of God. This was very unusual for a Jewish
person to speak to the Samaritans but also we can see a prophetic
time concerning this event. In John 4:1-30 it says "1
When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that
Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, 2 (Though Jesus
himself baptized not, but his disciples,) 3 He left Judaea, and
departed again into Galilee. 4 And he must needs go through Samaria.
5 Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar,
near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph.
6 Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied
with His journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the
sixth hour. 7 There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water:
Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. 8 (For his disciples
were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) 9 Then saith the woman
of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest
drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no
dealings with the Samaritans. 10 Jesus answered and said unto
her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith
to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and
he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith unto
him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep:
from whence then hast thou that living water? 12 Art thou greater
than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof
himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered
and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst
again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give
him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall
be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I
thirst not, neither come hither to draw. 16 Jesus saith unto
her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. 17 The woman answered
and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well
said, I have no husband: 18 For thou hast had five husbands;
and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst
thou truly. 19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that
thou art a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain;
and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to
worship. 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour
cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem,
worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what
we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh,
and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father
in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship
him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship
him in spirit and in truth. 25 The woman saith unto him, I know
that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come,
he will tell us all things. 26 Jesus saith unto her, I that speak
unto thee am he. 27 And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled
that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest
thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? 28 The woman then left her
waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,
29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did:
is not this the Christ? 30 Then they went out of the city, and
came unto him.
John 4:39-45 says 39 And
many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying
of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.
40 So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him
that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. 41
And many more believed because of his own word; 42 And said unto
the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we
have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ,
the Saviour of the world. 43 Now after two days he departed thence,
and went into Galilee. 44 For Jesus himself testified, that a
prophet hath no honour in his own country. 45 Then when he was
come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all
the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also
went unto the feast."
Jesus Christ revealed the sin
of the woman of Samaria and after that she told many in Samaria
her testimony about Jesus Christ and many believed on him. Then
Jesus Christ stayed with them for two days. Notice in John 4:
40-41 that Jesus Christ stayed with the Samaritans for two days
and many more believed on him. In II Peter 3:8 it says "8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day
is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as
one day." As Jesus Christ was there two day, so we are
coming close to the 2000th year since Jesus Christ preached to
the people of Samaria. In Acts chapter 15, Simeon spoke how God
would visit the Gentiles and take a people for his name. In Acts
15:14 it says "Simeon hath declared how God at the first
did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his
name."
2. God To Regather and Restore
Israel
In Ezekiel 36:22-24,
God speaks of restoring the children of Israel out of the heathen
countries and bringing them into their own land. This has been
taking place since May 1948, but there are still many Israelites
in the United States and around the world that God will bring
into his land again. In Ezekiel 36:22-24 it says "22
Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD;
I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine
holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither
ye went. 23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned
among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them;
and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord
GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes. 24
For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out
of all countries, and will bring you into your own land."
Jesus Christ used a parable of a fig tree to tell us about
the restoration of Israel. In Matthew 24:32-34 Jesus said "32
Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender,
and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So
likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it
is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say unto you, This generation
shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled"
a) The Times Of The Gentiles Fulfilled
The times of the Gentiles were fulfilled when the Jewish
people reclaimed Jerusalem from the Gentiles. In Luke 21:24 it
says "And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and
shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall
be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles
be fulfilled." This scripture was fulfilled in June
1967 after the Six Day war in the Middle East when Israel took
over all of Jerusalem.
b) The Future Salvation
Of Israel
The apostle Paul told
us in Romans 11 about the future salvation of Israel. In Romans
11:1-27 it says "1 I say then, Hath God cast away his
people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of
Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God hath not cast away his
people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith
of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,
3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine
altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. 4 But what
saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven
thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according
to the election of grace. 6 And if by grace, then is it no more
of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works,
then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. 7 What
then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but
the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded 8 (According
as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber,
eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not
hear;) unto this day. 9 And David saith, Let their table be made
a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto
them: 10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and
bow down their back always. 11 I say then, Have they stumbled
that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall
salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.
12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the
diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more
their fulness? 13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I
am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 14 If
by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh,
and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them
be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of
them be, but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstfruit be
holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are
the branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and
thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and
with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest
not the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then, The branches
were broken off, that I might be grafted in. 20 Well; because
of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith.
Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God spared not the natural
branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore
the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity;
but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness:
otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23 And they also, if they
abide not still in unbelief, shall be grafted in: for God is
able to graft them in again. 24 For if thou wert cut out of the
olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert grafted contrary
to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these,
which be the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive
tree? 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant
of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;
that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness
of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved:
as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer,
and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my
covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins."
In verses 25-27 Paul shows
us the time when the fulness of the Gentiles is complete. This
is when no other Gentiles can be saved and salvation comes to
Israel. The prophet Ezekiel shows us a similar scripture about
the future salvation of the children of Israel. In Ezekiel 36:25-38
it says "25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you,
and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all
your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give
you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take
away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an
heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause
you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and
do them. 28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your
fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God. 29
I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will
call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon
you. 30 And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase
of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine
among the heathen. 31 Then shall ye remember your own evil ways,
and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves
in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
32 Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known
unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house
of Israel. 33 Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall
have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause
you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.
34 And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate
in the sight of all that passed by. 35 And they shall say, This
land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and
the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and
are inhabited. 36 Then the heathen that are left round about
you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant
that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will
do it. 37 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be inquired
of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase
them with men like a flock. 38 As the holy flock, as
the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste
cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that
I am the LORD."
3. Come While The Door Is
Still Open For The Gentiles
In Matthew 22 Jesus
spoke a parable of the marriage dinner. In Matthew 22:1-14 it
says "1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again
by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a
certain king, which made a marriage for his son, 3 And sent forth
his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and
they would not come. 4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying,
Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner:
my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready:
come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it, and went
their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And
the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully,
and slew them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth:
and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers,
and burned up their city. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The
wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall
find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into
the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found,
both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there
a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12 And he saith unto
him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?
And he was speechless. 13 Then said the king to the servants,
Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into
outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14 For many are called, but few are chosen." Jesus Christ
is calling those who are not born again to repent and accept
him into their heart. If this message has convicted you then
pray this prayer out loud to receive Jesus Christ in your heart:
Prayer Of Salvation
Dear Lord Jesus, I
come to you as a sinner, I know I can't make it on my own. Forgive
me for my sins, come into my heart, come into my life. According
to your Word, in Romans 10:9-10, you said, That if thou shalt
confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart, man believeth unto righteousness, and with
the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. Thank you Lord
for saving me! I am a new creature now. I will pray, I will read
my Bible ( Old King James Version Only), I will do the things
according to your Word. In Jesus name, Amen.

Memory Verses
As Christians if we want to
live in victory and if we want to be able to share the Word Of
God with others we must know the Word of God ourselves. Let's
see what the Bible says about this. "Thy word have I
hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm
119:11. " If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you,
ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
John 15:7. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed
on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed."
John 8:31. We encourage you to put the following scriptures in
your heart: II Corinthians 1:8-9, Genesis 25:13-15, Jeremiah
23:3-4, Deuteronomy 1:21, Job 5:8-9, I Thessalonians 1:9-10,
Psalm 90:4, Zechariah 4:10, Hebrews 10:10-12, Galatians 1:15-16.
