Dear Christian:
We are concerned with the compromising of God's Holy Word in
America. Before Jesus Christ ever preached the gospel, He was
filled with the Holy Ghost. Jesus, in the beginning of his ministry,
preached saying "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is
at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."(Mark 1:15). After Jesus rose from the dead, before
He ascended to heaven, it states in Acts 1:3 "To whom also he showed himself alive after his
passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days,
and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God." From
Jesus' first to last message many times He spoke from place to
place about the kingdom of God. But today many things that are
preached in America have so much tradition in them that we could
never preach these messages in a foreign land. For example, many
people tell those who receive Jesus Christ in their heart at
an altar call that they are going to heaven. But Jesus told Nicodemus
in John 3:3 "Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
In John 3:5 Jesus states "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be
born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom
of God." Jesus told Nicodemus that not only did he have
to be born again but he had to be born of water and of the Spirit
to enter into the kingdom of God. The requirements of entering
into the kingdom of God are much much greater than just seeing
the kingdom of God. Jesus told a parable about ten virgins to
show us the difference between seeing the kingdom of God and
entering in. Matthew 25:1-12 states:
"Then shall
the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took
their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five
of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish
took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took
oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried,
they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry
made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then
all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish
said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone
out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not
enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and
buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom
came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage:
and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins,
saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily
I say unto you, I know you not."
In this parable, the ten virgins all represent born again Christians,
but only five of them entered into the kingdom of God because
they were prepared to meet our Lord Jesus Christ.
Today there are few Christians who are of full age and few ministers
who are led by the Spirit of God. The apostle Paul told us is
Hebrews 5:11-14:
"Of whom we have many things to
say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. For
when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that
one teach you again which be of the first principles of the oracles
of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of
strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the
work of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth
to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use
have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil."
Many Christians cannot discern between good and evil and many
churches compromise and bring things into their churches that
they know our Lord would not be pleased with. One example of
the type of Christian which is spoken of in the scripture above
is those who have received the baptism of the Holy Ghost but
who couldn't tell you the difference between the nine gifts and
the nine fruits of the Spirit. In many messages preached today,
only a few of the gifts of the Spirit are spoken of, and many
Christians today are ignorant of the gifts and the fruits of
the spirit. Paul told us in I Corinthians 12:1 "Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would
not have you ignorant." But
many Christians are still ignorant. One of the most traditional
sayings in messages preached today is that the apostles and prophets
are no more. Some say there were only twelve apostles and the
last prophet was John the Baptist. But in the bible, Paul stated
that the church would not be perfected until the five-fold ministry,
(meaning the apostle, the prophet, the evangelist, the pastor
and the teacher) was in full operation. Ephesians 4:11-16 states:
"And he
gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;
and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints,
for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of
Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the
knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure
of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be
no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every
wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness,
whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in
love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head,
even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and
compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the
effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase
of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."
From this scripture, we clearly can see
that the perfecting of the saints can only happen when the five-fold
ministry is in full operation. For those who still believe that
the apostle and prophet are no more, Paul refers to apostles
other than the original twelve and the book of Acts references
prophets that existed after John the Baptist. Romans 16:7 states:"Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my
fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also
were in Christ before me."
Acts 11:27-28 states:"And in these days came prophets
from Jerusalem unto Antioch. And there stood up one of them named
Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great
dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days
of Claudius Caesar."
We at Mysteries From the Word of God Ministries would like to
share the truth concerning God's Holy Word with you so that the
body of Christ will be prepared to meet our Lord Jesus Christ.
