Is America Worse Than Sodom? - Part IV

7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. Jude 1:7

In this issue of The Prophetic Messenger, we will continue a message titled “Is America Worse Than Sodom?”

How The People Changed The Natural Use Against That Which Is Against Nature

In this Prophetic Messenger newsletter, we will talk about how our times are similar to the times described in Romans 1. In Romans 1, the apostle Paul said that the Roman people changed the natural use against that which is against nature. We are now seeing this promoted in America through the public schools, universities, and state and federal government agencies all across the nation.

How The People Changed The Natural Use Against That Which Is Against Nature
(the following quote is from the Prophetic Messenger September/October 2006 - Has America Become Sodom?)

Has America Become Sodom?

Here are two recent articles showing the sodomites influence on our politicians across the nation. In an article titled "House Rejects Proposed Constitutional Ban On Same-Sex Marriage", subtitled " 'Issue Is Not Over,' ‘Hastert Says; Senate Already Defeated Bill’ (Note 1) says

‘The House rejected a proposed constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage on Tuesday, a setback that conservatives hope to turn to their advantage in the fall elections....... The vote was 236-187 with one member voting 'present,' a slight improvement over the last House vote just before the 2004 election but still 46 short of the two-thirds majority needed to advance a constitutional amendment......... Opponents, including 27 Republicans, argued that the measure was meaningless-the Senate rejected the amendment last month, effectively killing it for this session of Congress-- as well as unneeded and mean-spirited.’"

In an article titled “Key quotes from the Supreme Court’s same-sex marriage decision” (Note 2) says “Chief Justice John Roberts (Dissent) (Most of his dissent)

‘This Court is not a legislature. Whether same-sex marriage is a good idea should be of no concern to us. Under the Constitution, judges have power to say what the law is, not what it should be. The people who ratified the Constitution authorized courts to exercise ‘neither force nor will but merely judgment.’‘Today, however, the Court takes the extraordinary step of ordering every State to license and recognize same-sex marriage. Many people will rejoice at this decision, and I begrudge none their celebration. But for those who believe in a government of laws, not of men, the majority’s approach is deeply disheartening.’‘The majority’s decision is an act of will, not legal judgment. The right it announces has no basis in the Constitution or this Court’s precedent. …The Court invalidates the marriage laws of more than half the States and orders the transformation of a social institution that has formed the basis of human society for millennia, for the Kalahari Bushmen and the Han Chinese, the Carthaginians and the Aztecs. Just who do we think we are?”

Paul shows it clearly about the people who changed the natural use against that which is against nature. In Romans 1:26-28 where it says "26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; "

In closing, we see from these articles how the highest court in the land did not follow the law or Constitution (which does not mention marriage) but instead legislated from the bench. We will continue to share what the apostle Paul said to the Romans and show how it relates to the state of America.

Memory Verses

As Christians if we want to live in victory and if we want to be able to share the Word Of God with others we must know the Word of God ourselves. Let's see what the Bible says about this. "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11. "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." John 15:7. "Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed." John 8:31. We encourage you to put the following scriptures in your heart: Ezekiel 37:17, I Corinthians 7:33, Numbers 6:26, Amos 3:6, I Samuel 15:24, Job 33:14, II Timothy 4:4, Galatians 5:9, Psalm 8:1, Leviticus 19:28. Use only the Old King James version of the Holy Bible. (If you have any questions about this please see the book New Age Bible Versions, by G.A. Riplinger ©1993, ISBN 0-9635845-0-2.)
